Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains what information Mergecoil: Snake 2048 (“the game”, “we”) handles when you use this website. The short version: the game is free, has no accounts, and stores your progress only on your own device.
No accounts, no sign-up
You do not need to create an account, provide an email address, or sign in to play. We do not ask for your name, age, or any other personal details to use the game.
What is stored on your device
The game saves a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage so it can remember your progress and preferences between visits. This includes your best score, your highest tile, whether you have completed 2048, and settings such as sound, reduced motion, and on-screen controls.
This information never leaves your device. It is not transmitted to us or to anyone else, and you can delete it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
Advertising and trackers
By default this site does not load advertising or third-party analytics trackers. We have prepared optional placements for Google AdSense, but they are turned off unless the site owner enables them.
If advertising is enabled in the future, the ad provider (for example Google) may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, in line with that provider’s own privacy policy. You would be able to manage personalized advertising through your Google ad settings.
Server logs
Like most websites, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) may record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, and are not used to identify you personally.
Children
The game is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because no personal information is requested to play, there is nothing for a child to share in order to use the game.
Your choices
You can play without storing anything by using a private browsing window. You can clear saved progress at any time through your browser settings. Because we hold no accounts or personal profiles, there is no personal data for us to correct, export, or delete on your behalf.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the game handles information, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above. We encourage you to check back occasionally.
Contact
If you have a question about this policy or your privacy while using the game, please email us. You can find the address on our contact page.
